How to Firm ThighsThe older I get, the more I realize that I spend my time relearning how to do things I once took for granted as a kid, like, how to firm thighs.  Do you remember those thighs you used to have as a kid?  The sleek, toned ones that you didn’t really think much about because you were too busy playing and enjoying life?

If you think about it, those toned thighs were the result of a lot of fun activities you did as a child that you gave up as an adult.  While climbing trees and squatting over anthills might not seem like the best way to recapture the toned look you once had, here are some fun ideas for how to firm thighs.

How To Firm Thighs Through Fun Activities

  • Take up salsa dancing!  If there was ever an activity that will make you sweat AND feel oh-so-sexy at the same time, it’s salsa dancing.  How to firm thighs through salsa dancing?  This type of dance is primarily made up of movements using the hips and legs, so in addition to nice thighs, you’ll get nice abs too.  Many dance studios offer salsa classes, but for those of you on a budget, just show up at the club, and be willing to say yes to an offer to dance.  Most men will be very willing to take you out on the floor and show you the ropes.  In fact, this is how I learned.
  • Rock climbing is another great idea for how to firm thighs.  It’s true.  Clinging to a rock wall twenty feet in the air for minutes at a time while trying to find your next hand-hold will definitely get those thighs toned.
  • If heights give you the willies then consider swimming instead.  I know, I know – the reason why you’re learning how to firm thighs is so that you can look good in a swimsuit or other summer wear, but I’ll say this: swimming is one of the best, most complete workouts there are.  If you do thirty minutes of hard laps, you’ll tone your thighs alright and it won’t stop there: the rest of your body will be looking pretty smart as well.
  • I’ve found Pilates to be an effective thigh trimmer.  Because this style of workout was originally designed to help injured dancers stay in shape and rehabilitate, it makes an effective tool for shaping your own thighs.  Have you ever caught sight of a dancer’s thighs?  They’re very, very trim.  And if they can use Pilates to stay in shape, then what’s to say that you can’t tone up your own thighs that way too?

The most important thing to consider when learning how to trim thighs, is that exercise and eating properly are the key.  If you’re doing all the right workouts, but eating processed foods at every meal, you’ll be working against yourself.  Instead, fill up on healthy whole-grain carbs, fresh fruits and veggies, and lean proteins.  Doing so will help you look and feel better.
